“Kitchen Simple” by James Peterson is indeed simple. Many of the recipes here aren’t really recipes at all. They’re more like good ideas for dressing up plain produce and protein – sauté brussels sprouts with bacon to add smoky flavor, roast a whole onion and serve it with a spoon (I have to try this!); thinly slice a fennel bulb and add olive oil for a terrifically easy, crunchy salad.
